MOTHER EARTH SONG
In the 8O's Ojibway artist SHINGOOSE (Curtis Jonnie) co-produced a program called "Indian Time" with his NATIVE MULTI MEDIA partner Don Marks. It celebrated Indigenous culture, and featured some of the community's top entertainers of the time. A young Buffy Ste. Marie, Max Gayle, and Charlie Hill joined the cast, and at their pilot episode taping Shingoose performed this song. In 2017 Madel Media created this video remix to celebrate Shingoose's 70'th birthday, and welcome him into his new role as "Baby Elder". Its message is as relevant now as it was then. Please enjoy.
